Cardiff has a thriving food scene - Welsh signature foods, ethnic and continental foods, local produce, markets and festivals, and all which complement the city’s lively sports scene. The Autumn International Rugby Season kicks off this November, and offers the perfect excuse to tackle Cardiff’s wide ranging food scene.
Join the Cardiff Food Safari, held on every Friday throughout the year. The safari will start at 10.30am at Cardiff Castle and end in Cardiff Bay at 4.00pm. The tour will showcase the city’s beautiful parks and key landmarks, including Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium, the National Assembly of Wales and the Wales Millennium Centre. If you live locally, you’ll relish the chance to re-visit your own city and how Cardiff with fresh eyes.
Guests will enjoy a range of tastings, including Welsh beers/cider, laverbread, Cawl Welsh broth, Bara Brith Welsh fruit loaf traditional Welshcakes, Welsh cheeses and much more. You will also discover the wide variety of cafes, pubs, restaurants, shops and boutiques to visit once more when you return.
There are 2 dates when the Safari is not running Feb 11th and June 3rd - due to internationals in Cardiff.
