Real ale and cider lovers everywhere will delight in the offerings of the Reading Beer and Cider Festival, which will be returning for its 21st year running this May but this time at Christchurch Meadow! This year’s event is set to be the best ever with over 500 real ales and 150 real ciders from across the UK, and a fine selection of locally produced products taking centre stage. An impressive selection of European beers will also be available, alongside a fantastic range of British wines from local estate, Stanlake Park, and other vinyards across the country.

Four days of fun will kick off with a pub quiz on Thursday night, presenting an opportunity to flex your general knowledge skills and get your hands on some fantastic prizes. Friday and Saturday will see a full line-up of local live music and entertainment, including traditional Morris dancing, regional cider judging and CAMRA’s National Cider and Perry Championships. For those visiting with the kids, a whole host of fun activities including competitions and games will be taking place on Sunday via the Half-pints Club, ensuring visitors of all ages are well catered for.
