Top Food Festivals in June

Summer is finally here and with it comes a whole host of exciting and inspiring food festivals to fill your weekends with fun, food, and great memory making with family and friends. Here at Food Festival Finder, we are passionate about making sure you are aware of the comprehensive choice of festivals across the country. If you’re tired of the long drive to the beach every Saturday or don’t have the funds to head to the Mediterranean multiple times a month and are looking for an inexpensive and unique day out sampling the best of the nation’s produce, then a food festival offers the best of all words – great food, fantastic entertainment, and fun for all the family.

To make your life easier this Summer, we’ve compiled a list of 10 of our favourite food festivals this June.

Stradsett Country Show - Saturday 2nd June - Sunday 3rd June; 10am – 5pm - Norfolk

This 2nd and 3rd of June welcomes the return of the Stradsett Country Show. Set at the beautiful Stradsett Hall venue, there will be plenty of activities for all the family, from rural crafters on site showing you tips and tricks to craft your own products to independent trade stands offering you the chance to purchase some truly unique gifts and homeware products.

There will also be cookery demonstrations including a baking demo and an opportunity to meet Julia Chernogorova from 2017’s “The Great British Bake Off”. Some of the best chefs of the region will also be here to show you how to make their favourite meals and offer you tips and advice for when you hold your own dinner parties.


The Food Fest – Saturday 2nd June – Sunday 3rd June - Kent

Held at The Mount Vineyard in Kent, The Food Fest runs from the 2nd to the 3rd of June and is hoping to make a great deal of money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

This award-winning vineyard is set in an incredible location in Kent. Expect vintage food trucks and stalls, award-winning craft beers, ciders and wines, and an amazing line up of the very best unsigned British musical act and bands. There will also be cooking demonstrations, crafts, face painting, and circus acts to entertain the kids.


Tom Kerridge presents Pub in the Park – Friday 8th June to Sunday10th June - Bath

Pub in the Park will be heading to the beautiful city of Bath from 8 - 10 June, bringing a glorious three-day feast with the very best food the country has to offer.

After the success of the first event in Marlow in 2017, Tom Kerridge and his merry band of foodie friends are chuffed to be touring the country with a stellar line up of world-class chefs, Michelin-starred pubs, plus a selection of other top UK pubs and restaurants to serve their most popular dishes. Combined with great live music, chef demonstrations, top-quality shopping and other festival fun, it has all the ingredients for the perfect foodie experience. So sit back, relax and let the 'lush vibes' kick in. 



Cheese & Chilli Festival –  Saturday 9th June –  Sunday 10th June - Christchurch

Chalk and cheese may be worlds apart but cheese and chilli make a dream team. At this event at Bournemouth Sports Club in Christchurch right next to Bournemouth Airport, you can try and buy local cheeses and chillies of all strengths, listen to informative talks about these foods, enjoy live music, and join in on activities such as wine tasting.

Younger visitors will be kept busy at the free circus, with skills workshops, magic shows, balloon-building sessions and even a game of zorb football. Adult visitors can mooch around the stalls and enjoy a refreshing pint at the Ringwood Brewery-sponsored beer festival in the Club House. Those who think their tastebubs are up to the challenge, meanwhile, can enter the chilli-eating competition.


Congleton Food and Drink Festival – Sunday 10th June - Comgleton

Celebrating their 10th anniversary, Congleton Food and Drink Festival is intent on bringing local talents to the forefront of everyone’s attention. Keeping attendees entertained at the festival will be bands, magicians, stilt-walkers, and a lot more.

True to its name, food and drink will take centre stage at the festival with over 100 stalls showcasing delicious dishes from both close to home and further afield. Street food from across the globe will be available for attendees to try and buy, in addition to a horde of traders from the region. The festival also prides itself on its support of the local food industry.


Taste the Best of Produced in Kent – Sunday 10th June - Kent

The Biddenden Vineyards, set in 23 acres on a gentle south-facing slope in a shallow sheltered valley, is the area’s oldest commercial vineyard. Visitors are welcome throughout the year, but there’s one day in particular that attracts quite a crowd each year: the Taste the Best of Produced in Kent event.

This annual day-long food festival supports the many fantastic food producers in Kent and is in aid of the Kent Air Ambulance Trust. There will be over 30 stalls offering the chance to meet local producers, sample their delicious fare and buy some lovely local produce to take home with you. The vineyard’s shop will be open as usual for tastings of their award-winning sparkling and still wines, ciders and juices, and the café will be serving ploughman’s lunches and teas and coffees.

BBC Good Food Show Summer – Thursday 14th June to Sunday 17th June - Birmingham

It’s big, it’s back and bringing the best food, drink and culinary experts from the BBC to Birmingham!

One of the tastiest things to look forward to will be the chef line-up and the all-star cast which, this year, will include Tom Kerridge, Michel Roux Jnr, James Martin, Paul Hollywood and Two Greedy Italians. In both the Supertheatre and Summer Kitchen you will pick up some great cooking tips, especially when it comes to fresh and seasonal food. The Summer Kitchen, true to its name, will specialise in delicious recipes perfect for this time of year.

Whatever gets your tastebuds tingling; there will be a wonderful range of foods to feast on from the award-winning ice creams of Salcombe Dairy to Buffalo burgers, Cornish cheese and gourmet sausage rolls.

As an extra bonus you will be able to enjoy free entry to BBC Gardener’s World Live.


Great Yorkshire Vegan Festival - Saturday 16th June - Sunday 17th June - Leeds

This 16th to 17th of June, the Great Yorkshire Vegan Festival is returning to inform, entertain, and entice the population with the vegan lifestyle.

The Vegan Fest is bursting with things to do and will feature a maze of 150 stalls selling all things vegan. There’ll also be live cooking demonstrations for any aspiring vegan chefs or simply those wanting to make greener versions of delicious dishes. However, the vegan lifestyle isn’t just about food, and the festival will also include animal welfare presentations, vegan makeup, and vegan clothing for sale.

All of the proceeds from ticket sales (free for under 16s, £2 for over 16s) will be donated to the International Aid for the Protection and Welfare of Animals charity, and, if you ask me, it's a pretty good place for your pocket change to go.


Shrewsbury Food Festival – Saturday 23rd June - Sunday 24th June - Shrewsbury

Returning for its fifth year, Shrewsbury Food Festival gathers over 200 artisanal food and drink producers to showcase Shropshire’s love of fine food and drink. With live music, cookery classes and the general opportunity to have a go at all kinds of activities you’d never normally think of, Shrewsbury Food Festival is a great draw for the whole family.

From rolling sushi to roasting ingredients over an open fire, Shrewsbury Food Festival encourages everyone to get involved - no matter what their age or experience - and learn something new.

This year sees some exciting developments such as a new craft area - which will be filled with potters, glass blowers, artists, and photographers - plus an opportunity for the more adventurous to learn bushcraft skills.


St Albans Town & Country Show - Saturday 30th June, 11am – 6pm; Sunday 1st July, 11am – 5pm - St Albans

Over the weekend of the 30th June and 1st July, the St Albans Town & Country Show will be back at Highfield Park and will incorporate the ever-popular Festival of Dogs at the show with something for everyone!

There will be plenty of activities for all the family, from rural crafters on site showing you tips and tricks to craft your own products to independent trade stands offering you the chance to purchase some truly unique gifts and homeware products. There will be free entertainment throughout the day with Main Ring and Countryside Ring acts with stunt bikes and horse displays and the opportunity to sit and take it all in with great local bands and community groups providing the musical – and dancing - entertainment.

For real foodies, cookery demonstrations will be running throughout the weekend, including a baking demo and opportunity to meet Julia Chernogorova from The Great British Bake Off.
