In the coastal town of Troon, Ayrshire Real Ale Festival will be returning for a monumental 18th year in October. This year the festival, which is run by the Ayrshire & Wigtownshire CAMRA branch, will be presenting just shy of 150 real ales from around the country in addition to around 20 ciders. Not enough? Well, there’ll also be a second bar which will feature Britain and Scotland’s former Champion Beers.

The festival will also be providing entertainment in the form of live music. On Friday night, local pop/rock band Wildcard will be taking the stage, followed by Troon Pipe Band on the Saturday afternoon. Saturday evening will see Chitterybite, a folk/ceilidh band taking over to conclude a truly unique musical programme.

In addition to drinking and dancing, attendees will also be able to grab a bite to eat throughout the festival, or head over to the Tutored Tastings, to find out more about the delectable drinks that the festival has to offer.
