You've missed this event
Foodies and families, get ready for a perfect day out! Love food? Perfect! Looking for something to do with the kids? Perfect! Just really like donkeys? We hear you!
The Sidmouth event will showcase all the very best food, drink and talent the region has to offer. There'll be something for everyone at this heart-warming day of fun and food.
Based of course at the Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth, you'll be surrounded by all the cutest and fluffiest donkeys, all in the knowledge that you're contributing to a fantastic charity.
Get creative in the kitchen, learn new skills and get inspired for new dishes with the live cooking demonstrations which will be taking place throughout the day. The demonstrations will be hosted by the very best local chefs. Local food and drink producers will also be present, offering up some award-winning produce for you to sample and buy! Expect plenty of meats, cheeses, preserves, cakes, ciders and home grown vegetables and more!
Get your little ones interested in all things food at the Food is Fun area, where free cooking activities will engage them, and hopefully inspire some future top chefs! There will also be biscuit decorating and face painting once they’ve enjoyed getting hands on in the kitchen, for which a small fee will apply.
After enjoying all this, catch a bit of live music from the likes of acoustic duo Vine & Dandy, before grabbing a bite to eat from one of the fantastic street food traders. Alternatively, if you're seeking somewhere more tranquil, pay a visit to the brand new restaurant The Kitchen to enjoy some lovingly-prepared fresh dishes.
Accompanying this great programme will be a collection of excellent local food and drink producers offering award winning produce for you to sample and purchase. The delicious array of produce will include meats, cheeses, preserves, cakes, ciders and home grown vegetables - we really will have it all on offer.
Don't miss it - tickets are just £2 for adults and free for under 12's. Dogs are welcome and parking is free!
