Great Yorkshire Vegan Festival
Saturday June 16 2018to Sunday June 17 2018
You've missed this event
Bursting onto the scene in May 2014 with an astonishing 2,000 attendees, the Great Yorkshire Vegan Festival is returning to inform, entertain, and entice the population with the vegan lifestyle. Conveniently located at Leeds Town Hall on Saturday 16th & 17th June 2018, the Festival will be a short stroll away from both the train station and the bus station.
The Vegan Fest is bursting with things to do and will feature a maze of 150 stalls selling all things vegan. There’ll also be live cooking demonstrations for any aspiring vegan chefs, or simply those wanting to make greener versions of delicious dishes. However, the vegan lifestyle isn’t just about food, and the festival will also include animal welfare presentations, vegan makeup, and vegan clothing for sale. Despite the event promising to be choc-ful of things to do and see, all attendees will receive a stall map, so don’t worry about getting lost, or missing anything out!
The event begins at 11am, and visitors should try and get there early to get their hands on some free samples. In addition, the first 100 visitors are guaranteed goody bags, and the 2018 Vegan Fest is predicted to be even busier than 2017!
Whilst the event isn’t free, entry is only £2 (and free to those under 16). This will get you into all talks and presentations, and allow you to wander around the monumental number of stalls, both indoors and outdoors. All of the proceeds will be donated to the International Aid for the Protectional and Welfare of Animals charity, and, if you ask me, it's a pretty good place for your pocket change to go.
