Gwledd Conwy Feast
Saturday October 28 2017to Sunday October 29 2017
On Wales’ scenic north coast, the beautiful market town of Conwy hosts an annual Food & Drink Feast, which we at Food Festival Finder are very excited about. The medieval walled town, a popular tourist destination thanks to its remarkably well-preserved 13th Century castle, times the Feast to coincide with the start of the mussel fishing season, since Conwy is the sole rake-only mussel fishing town left in the entire UK. This means you can look forward to some top quality traditional seafood in the food market stalls, as well as a whole range of other fantastic Welsh produce.
The event will be getting off to an explosive start on the Friday evening with music, street food and fireworks. For the whole weekend the bars will be well-stocked with various lovely beverages, including plenty of real ales from North Wales, a cocktail and Champagne bar and a craft beer marquee with live music acts. In the Feast Kitchen Theatre you’ll be able to catch chef demonstrations throughout the weekend from some of the top local chefs. It’s a diverse and dynamic festival where you can always look forward to a brilliant fireworks display, fire juggling and dancing, the likes of which will be beautifully reflected in the River Conwy.
The organisers of this amazing event, now claim it is much more than a food festival and have incorporated Alchemy, an exhibition celebrating traditional rural crafts, plus 150 hand-picked artisan food producers, award-winning local micro brewers, Conwy’s famous mussel fishermen, and dozens of superior street food sellers. To round off the event why not enjoy a guided Champagne and Prosecco tasting session or a glass or two in the Feast’s quayside Champagne and Shots bar.
