Levels' Best Farmers and Carft Markets at Montacute House
Saturday April 28 2018to Saturday December 15 2018
Held in the grounds of the stunning Montacute House, just outside Yeovil, the Levels’ Best Farmers’ & Craft Market has to be in one of the best market locations in the country. The National Trust property is just the backdrop though, because the award-winning market itself, now in its 14th year, is something to be envied.
Each market consists of around 30 to 40 choice stalls, showcasing only the very best produce from the Somerset area, and running on the last Saturday of each month.
The market is friendly, local and most costs nothing to visit. It is held in the Montacute House courtyard, and is particularly aimed at giving farmers affected by recent flooding the chance to rebuild their businesses and reclaim their former prestige as some of the best food producers in the country.
As well as the stalls, the market has regular cooking demonstrations from local chefs and food producers. Dogs are also welcome at the market, and the surrounding National Trust property makes a fantastic setting for walks or picnics when the market closes.
