If you’re looking to experience Oktoberfest, but without the inconvenience of hopping on a flight to mainland Europe (and in the summer month of August too…) then the Manchester Oktoberfest is the event you’re searching for.
Set to sprawl across the Albert Square, this five day long extravaganza will have room for all, housed in a tent boasting a 2,000 person capacity. Seats inside must be reserved, with a range of tickets to provide each guest with the exact Oktoberfest experience they’re after. Bratwurst and schnitzel aplenty, in addition to the inevitable abundance of beer, this grand gazebo will also be hosting a line-up of real Bavarian Bands who have travelled all the way from Germany to provide Manchester with the opportunity to drink, dine and dance the nights away.
Fans who are followed by the pitter patter of small feet need not worry about missing out on the fun as the final day of the festival (Sunday, for those wondering) will be a family friendly affair.
For those intent on recreating the real Oktoberfests of Munich, there’ll also be a lederhosen shop for those looking to dress to impress – and impress they shall.
