Rye Bay Scallop Week
Saturday February 24 2018to Sunday March 04 2018

You've missed this event

Whether you’re a fan of scallops, or if you’ve never really experienced before, you can be sure that there’s more to these marine molluscs than you might think – in fact, there’s enough information and recipes to last a whole week!
Rye Bay Scallop Week, taking place in the town of East Sussex in February 2018, is a great chance to experience a seafood speciality you might not find in your diet every day. Over the course of the week, restaurants and eateries around the town of Rye will be putting their own very special scallop dishes onto their menus for you to enjoy.
The event will also include a series of scallop-based events, such as tastings and free samples, cookery classes, live cooking demonstrations by excellent local chefs, and live music performances for visitors to enjoy.
If you can’t make it during Scallop Week, don’t worry! Many of the restaurants do still serve scallops through the rest of the year, so it’s worth checking in if you’re anywhere near Rye for the rest of the year, and you might still be able to pick up some of these seafood delicacies.
