Saturday April 08 2017to Sunday April 09 2017
You've missed this event
This festival is a truly homespun celebration inviting everybody to indulge in all things British. Enterprising food and drink producers will promote their craft, while rural champions demonstrate agricultural and countryside custom at the Framlington Country Show running alongside the Food and Drink Festival – one ticket gains access to both shows.
The festival promises to be an exhibition of some of the best food and drink Britain has to offer. You’ll be able to watch some amazing cookery demonstrations from top chefs, including celebrity chef Alan Coxon. Teen-cook Bethany Foster will be demonstrating throughout the day. Meet over 50 fabulous food producers and buy something you won’t find on the high street. There will be live cookery demonstrations and talks throughout both days from top local chefs, butchers and bakers.
Top foragers Claudio Bincoletto and Julie Foster will give talks and take you on foraging walks — now one of the hot topics in the foodie world. Find out where to look for wild garlic, nettles and wild horseradish just to name a few, and discover what you can do with them once you find them. In addition to all of this, there will be demonstration rings showcasing everything from dog agility to falconry and even geese herding as well stunt horses. Live music throughout the day will showcase the very best of local up-and-coming talent.
The perfect day out for all the family, with locally made food and drink, live music, attractions and a great many countryside pursuits - The Suffolk Food, Drink & Music Festival has something for everyone.
