Thame Food Festival
Saturday September 30 2017to Sunday October 01 2017
Now celebrating its 10th annual event, the Thame Food Festival brings together a fantastic line up of traders, farmers, growers, producers, chefs, experts and local retailers to provide visitors with an all-encompassing experience of food and drink in the Oxfordshire area.
This year signals a venue change due to the ever-growing popularity of the festival. Thame Showground will now play host to the event which attracted 28,000 people on one day last year.
The festival will also once again enjoy the support of Raymond Blanc, who, along with his celebrated Manoir aux Quat’Saisons kitchen brigade, will be making appearances throughout the event. Likewise, lucky festivalgoers can look forward to seeing a number of other renowned chefs, with many of them taking to either the Chef's or Baking Stage for some live cookery demonstrations.
The Big Thame Bake Tent will return, where GBBO alumni, Jane Devonshire, Chris Wheeler, Jane Beedle and others will be judging wonderful bakes and cakes.
This year there is also a pop up pub, gin emporium, pop up restaurant, chef’s banquet and it’s open until 9pm on the Saturday night. Plus there are wine workshops and a mini fun dog show! There might even be a hot air balloon. This festival has so much to see and do - a great family day out!
What’s more, as well as all of the above, the festival has a host of fine food stalls available for you to browse, covering some of the best artisan food and drink producers from the region. Look out for the likes of Cotswold Fudge Co, La Cave a Fromage, The Deli at No5, Cotswold Gold, Upton Cheyney Chilli Company, Authentic India and Mr Truffle.
